Bomba & Plena In the House is another LP21 signature program that provides interactive and educational performances for NYC schools and students to teach about the cultural practices and musical expressions of Puerto Rico, the Afro Diaspora and their connection to NYC life and communities. Each dynamic performance is hosted in the vibrant neighborhood of EL BARRIO (Spanish Harlem), and celebrates the vitality and history of the neighborhood, the community and the cultural practices heralded throughout the area.

Performances are open and appropriate for all grades and educational practitioners!

Bomba and Plena In the House is a public program made possible in part by support from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, the New York State Council on the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Offices of NYC Council Member Melissa Mark Viverito, District 8.
