Bronx, NY - A breathtaking double-bill with Bomba, Plena, and Seis as part of the 4th Annual South Bronx Folk Festival is taking place on November 23 at Hostos Community College.
This performance brings together two Puerto Rican dance companies; Bronx-based Danza Fiesta; Baile y Teatro Puertorriqueňo and directly from the island, Gíbaro de Puerto Rico, in an exciting performance that will feature live music and dance. "We are honored to have Gíbaro de Puerto Rico as our guests and sharing the stage with them", says Gilda Rivera-Pantojas, Danza Fiesta's artistic director.
The 4th Annual South Bronx Folk Festival is presented by Diversity in Arts in Nations for Cultural Education in partnership with Hostos Center for the Arts and Culture. This event also commemorates two important anniversary milestones for these companies; Danza Fiesta 15th anniversary and Gibaro de Puerto Rico 40thanniversary.
Come early or stay late and enjoy the Puerto Rican Artisans Craft Fair & Exhibit and Authors Book Expo, presented by Comité Noviembre.
