Bomba Workshop & Demonstration with Hijos de Agüeybaná from Puerto Rico 
This Sunday, June 30 from 3:00 - 4:30pm
Workshop Price: $15


This workshop will cover a brief history of Puerto Rican Bomba, as well as the basics of:

- Internalizing rhythm in dance movements (paseo)
- Form and figure
- Understanding the concepts of rhythm & improvisational language
- Differences in Bomba rhythms

Hijos de Agüeybaná brings together exponents of "toque", dance, and song of Puerto Rican bomba. More than a group, they are considered a family committed to their Afro-Caribbean culture, whose mission is to share the legacy of the African roots in and out of their Island.
