Como una iniciativa de Luis Rumba Rivera, y con el apoyo de todos sus hermanos pleneros en PR, NY, Chicago, Florida y hasta Maryland estaremos celebrando el 1er Plenazo a nivel internacional cruzando fronteras desde Bayamon, Kissimmee, Tampa, Miami, NY, Chicago y Maryland. Un evento nunca antes visto que estara sentando un precedente en la musica a niverl mundial. Empezaremos el dia coordinando todas las ciudades cantando el mismo coro, a la misma hora pero en diferentes ciudades del planeta. Trae tu pandero y unete a nosotros.

The 4th Annual South Bronx Folk Festival Celebrating the Spirit and Cultures of our Communities For Immediate Release

The 4th Annual South Bronx Folk Festival Grand Finale Bronx, NY - A breathtaking double-bill with Bomba, Plena, and Seis as part of the 4th Annual South Bronx Folk Festival is taking place on November 23 at Hostos Community College. This performance brings together two Puerto Rican dance companies; Bronx-based Danza Fiesta; Baile y Teatro Puertorriqueňo and directly from the island, Gíbaro de Puerto Rico, in an exciting performance that will feature live music and dance. "We are honored to have Gíbaro de Puerto Rico as our guests and sharing the stage with them", says Gilda Rivera-Pantojas, Danza Fiesta's artistic director. The 4th Annual South Bronx Folk Festival is presented by Diversity in Arts in Nations for Cultural Education in partnership with Hostos Center for the Arts and Culture. This event also commemorates two important anniversary milestones for these companies; Danza Fiesta 15th anniversary and Gibaro de Puerto Rico 40thanniversary.
