(A few days ago I posted a podcast from NPR's Latino USA on Bomba in New York City. Here is a podcast from Public Radio International's Afropop Worldwide originally aired on September 24, 1992 covering Bomba and Plena in Puerto Rico. Its interesting to hear the host describe Bomba y Plena in 1992 he uses different words in breaking down panderos and barrilles. Maybe even more interesting is his discussions about Bomberos and Pleneros from a passing generation whose's prospective proceeded the film "Raices".) *Note - The first 10 minutes of the podcast is Salsa music then the show goes into its coverage of Bomba and Plena.*
